SOUND WAVES USED TO PROTECT "GENTLE GIANTS"


FORT PIERCE, FLA., March 27 Ð In what will be the largest volunteer appreciation day ever held on campus, more than 50 volunteers will receive recognition for their efforts at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution.

Volunteer Appreciation Day will be held Friday, March 31st, starting at 10:30am in the Johnson Education Center on the Harbor Branch campus.

The recipient of the Johnson Standard of Excellence Award (volunteer of the year) will be announced, as well as awards for five and 10-years of service, and awards for total and annual hours donated.

Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution has a large volunteer program with more than 200 volunteers at any one time donating their services.
