"Aquaculture and Appetizers" • Dr. Dave Vaughan
About the Lecture

Dr. Dave Vaughan will introduce a new technology developed at HARBOR BRANCH which will revolutionize the way seafood such as shrimp, clams, conch, and other appetizers are grown here at HBOI. New technologies using indoor, recirculating systems now allow seafood to be grown at extremely high densities year round.

These products are grown at HBOI with no impact to our fisheries, oceans, or estuaries ... and best yet, they are jumping fresh and taste great! Dr. Vaughan will demonstrate his favorite recipes and make them available for tasting and take home between the two lectures.
