COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS

Recognized experts in marine biology, oceanography, aquaculture, and biomedical marine research teach our intensive graduate and undergraduate courses, all of which are accredited by either Florida Atlantic University (FAU) or Florida Institute of Technology (FIT).

Our courses take advantage of our advanced laboratory and classroom resources and our location on Indian River Lagoon, the estuary with the highest biodiversity in the United States. Nearby habitats include seagrass beds, mangrove forests, salt marshes, mud and sand flats, beaches, rock ledges, and sabellarid worm reefs. Some of our courses include fieldwork in the Florida Keys.

Our FAU courses include "Semester by the Sea", a spring semester program designed for undergraduates and accredited by Florida Atlantic University - "Summer by the Sea", consisting of summer courses for undergraduate and graduate students - and two Fall FAU Courses.

Our FIT summer courses are designed for graduate students and advanced undergraduates. In the spring semester of alternating years, we also offer a graduate-level course on "Biology of Tropical Marine Plants".
