Engineering Division has provided over 30 years of in-house engineering service to HBOI
for the development of specialized ocean engineering systems and to support its scientific missions
HARBOR BRANCH engineers are responsible for technological advances that have made a tremendous
impact on every aspect of oceanographic exploration and research.
These advances allow researchers to operate more effectively and safely in the underwater
environment. Intricate collection devices and robotic arms transform our own underwater vehicles
- and others around the world - into powerful and precise instruments for gathering
scientific data.
