DBMR ISSUED PATENTS

For the past fifteen years, DBMR scientists have conducted expeditions worldwide to collect a unique set of marine invertebrates, microorganisms and algae. We continuously access these sample libraries to search for new potentially therapeutic agents. Through continued research efforts by DBMR scientists working in conjunction with our collaborators at universities and partners in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and through grant funding from state and federal government agencies, such as NOAA's Sea Grant College Program, the National Cancer Institute and the National Science Foundation, we have identified a number of compounds which may have some biomedical importance.
