The Harbor Branch Aquaculture Division provides a full range of aquaculture project planning services, including project site evaluations, technical and financial feasibility analyses, hatchery and production facility design, technical drawings, on-site construction supervision, and production assistance.

[ AQUATIC ANIMAL HEALTH LABORATORY - www.aquatichealth.org ]
The HBOI Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory began offering services in 1999. The lab offers a variety of analytical services to shrimp and fish farmers in the U.S. and around the world. Analytical and diagnostic services are initially focused on diseases of cultured penaeid shrimp. The diagnostic services offered include histology, gene probe assays (both dot blot and in situ hybridization), PCR assays for major shrimp viruses, bacterial isolation and identification and antibiotic sensitivity tests. The turn around time for analyses is usually one week from the time the sample is received at the laboratory.

The Harbor Branch Aquatic Feed Laboratory provides experimental diets, larval shrimp and fish, and custom feed formulation services for the aquaculture industry.
